Changelog

What changed in each version, newest first. Each platform gets its own notes, because a fix on one is not always a change on another.

Version 1.2.4

September 14, 2026. iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, Android, Wear OS and Windows.

Available now as a direct download for Mac and Windows. In review on the App Store for iPhone, iPad and Mac. Google Play gets it once 1.2.3 clears review, and the Microsoft Store once 1.2.1 does.

Every device

One account, every device. Sign in with Apple, Google or your email, and Premium follows you to every device you sign in on. A subscription you already have joins your account on its own, with no code to type.

Sync keeps one ledger across your signed-in devices, encrypted before it leaves each one. Signing in is optional, logging never needs an account, and you can delete your account in Settings or on this site.

The yearly plan starts with 7 days free for new subscribers.

The week-to-week comparison is gone from Home. The app's text size never shrinks below the size your device is set to.

iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch

  • A Goal widget: pick a goal and see how far along it is on your Home Screen. Apple Watch has a Goal complication too.
  • The upgrade screen, the goal editor, the weekly recap and Plan a spend hold up at the largest text sizes.
  • The label field in Add a Diff takes a tap anywhere on its row.
  • iPad screens scroll from a drag in the margins.

Mac from the App Store

Accounts and sync, and the Goal widget: pick a goal and see how far along it is without opening the app.

Android and Wear OS

  • A widget for each goal, and a Goal complication on Wear OS.
  • The weekly recap, ready to share.
  • CSV export and category breakdowns in History, with Premium.
  • Log a Diff can put the Diff toward a goal.
  • Tablets scroll from anywhere on the screen.
  • No white flash when the app starts in dark mode.
  • A goal card with a photo grows with its name instead of cutting off the amounts.

Windows, and Mac from this site

  • The weekly recap, saved as a picture.
  • CSV export and category breakdowns in History, with Premium.
  • Log a Diff can put the Diff toward a goal.
  • Premium is priced in your own currency.
  • Screens scroll with the pointer anywhere in the window, and text holds up at the largest size.
  • Screen readers name the Log a Diff button.
  • The app offers each computer its own installer when an update is out. If you installed the Windows app from this site before 1.2.4, download it once more from this site: earlier Windows copies cannot update themselves.

Version 1.2.3

September 13, 2026. Android, Wear OS, Mac and Windows. The App Store's 1.2 carries the same changes.

In review on Google Play.

Every device

A new app icon: the receipt now sits on soft sage green, and the reward screen uses the same lighter green.

Mac and Windows

Plan a spend sits in the same reading column as Add a Diff. In the goal editor, Return moves from the name to the amount.

Version 1.2.2

September 13, 2026. Android, Wear OS, Mac and Windows.

Android and Wear OS

  • The keyboard no longer covers the goal editor, and Return no longer breaks a goal's name.
  • Save in Add a Diff stays above the keypad and the gesture bar.
  • On the watch, Log a Diff and the reward screen's Done button fit the round screen, and the Diff no longer hides under the bezel.

Mac and Windows

Labels and goal names no longer hold line breaks. The Mac window no longer says "Keep the Diff" twice.

Version 1.2.1

September 13, 2026. Android, Wear OS, Mac and Windows.

In review on the Microsoft Store.

Every device

  • The Android widget updates as soon as you log a Diff.
  • Home stays quick with a long history.
  • The Premium buttons in Settings open the upgrade screen, and the Sync one talks about sync.

Version 1.2

September 12, 2026. Every platform.

Live on the App Store for iPhone, iPad and Mac.

The countdown

Plan a spend and the app counts down to the check-in, so the question never arrives out of nowhere. One switch in Settings turns it off. Planning a spend and answering the check-in stay free.

iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch

The countdown shows on Home, on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, on your widgets and on your watch. The app follows your iPhone's text size.

Mac

The countdown shows on This Week.

Android and Wear OS

The countdown shows on Home, in a notification you can swipe away, on your home screen widget and on your watch. Android gains a text size setting.

Windows

The countdown shows on Home, and the app lets you know when a check-in is due while it is open.

Version 1.1.1

September 3, 2026. Mac and Windows from this site.

Fixes from late August, for copies already installed.

Version 1.1

August 30, 2026. Every platform.

Choose your currency

Pick the currency you think in, from Settings. Fifteen of them, each in its own format: yen and dong have no decimal places, and now they do not get any.

Lock the app

With Premium, ask for Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode before the app shows your numbers. Widgets can hide their amounts too, or keep showing them.

Also

A lighter background throughout, and a fix for a Mac bug where the Save button stayed grayed out after you entered an amount.

Earlier versions

Versions before 1.1 went out without public release notes, so they are not listed here. The Mac and Windows apps from this site first shipped in August 2026, and could sell Premium from 1.0.3 on August 23. Keep the Diff reached Google Play in early September, the Microsoft Store on September 6, and the App Store for iPhone, iPad and Mac on September 11.
